Dev Anand
It was tearful goodbye for the legend Dev Anand on Saturday. His last rites were held in London at the the Putney Vale Crematorium in Hindu tradition.Family and close friends attended the funeral. However, his wife Kalpana Kartik being a high blood pressure patient, remained behind in the Washington Mayfair hotel.
“I am comforted that he is with the Lord. The spirit of Dev Anand will live forever,” said his son Suneil.
The legends ashes will be flown back to Mumbai and a memorial service will be held at the Mehboob studio in Mumbai on December 15.
Dev Anand died on December 3 at the age of 88. At the time of death, his son was present by his side.
