Devoleena Bhattacharjee

Devoleena is born and brought up at sivasagar,Assam.Her parents works in ONGC. Her father passed away in 1997. She lives with her mom, her younger brother and her two doggies. She basically belongs to a bengali family. Her mother is assamese and father belongs to a bengali family.

She speaks both the language and follows both the tradition. She has done her schooling from GBME School, Sivasagar assam. She has done graduation In Commerce(accountancy honors). She then completed her Jewellery designing and development course from NIFT, New Delhi and worked as jewellery designer in GILI, MIDC MUMBAI.

She has learned classical music(bhatkhande) till visharad part 1 in assam at very early stage. Then she started her dancing career. She has learned bharatnatyam from kalakshetra (chennai). She has won a lot dance competetions. Was in Top 100 in DANCE INDIA DANCE SEASON 2 FROM DELHI.

ACTING career: She started her acting career while she was in 6th standard. Then after a long break she participated in a one act drama competetion, followed by lots of plays and theatres in asaam. The most famous plays of her:1) MIRI JIYORI(PANOI,LEAD); 2) ANNIE FRANK'S DIARY(N FRANK,LEAD); 3) ASHIMOT JAAR HERAAL HIMA(CHAMPA,LEAD); 4) SONITKUWARI(CHITRALEKHA,PARALLEL LEAD) AND MANY MORE.

She participated in sangeet natak academy youth festival. She has won best actress and 2nd best actress in an one act play "maya".

In mumbai while working with gili as a jewellery designer sge got a call from SHAKUNTALAM PRODUCTION HOUSE. and signed a contract with them for their new show "KUDESAN" for COLORS as a Lead, but unfortunately the show was scrapped due to the policy changes of the channel.

After that she got PREETO.
